Portrait & Figure Drawings
Portrait and figure drawings are available in sizes as small as A5 or as large as A1. The smaller sizes are limited to a single subject. So an A5 drawing can only have one subject, an A4 drawing can take no more than two subjects and sizes A3 upwards to A1 can take three to six subjects. Additional subjects are charged at 10 per subject. Please specify if you would like a head shot, full figure, background etc.

Supplying Photographs
Katie works from photographs but they must be clear. It is helpful if you can send a selection of photos to choose from (between 2 and 5 photos is ideal). This gives a better idea of what your pet looks like. The better the photos, the better your finished portrait will be. Katie can work from digital and Non-digital photos.
Patience is definitely a virtue when photographing your pet. You may like to get a photo of them in their favourite spot, this way they will look happy and relaxed. Try and take the photo in good light but not in direct or bright sunlight so the animal is not squinting. Sitting near a window indoors or outside on a cloudy day is good.
It may help to have someone else holding your pet while you are taking the photo. It doesn't matter if someone is in the photo as Katie will not draw the person. Just ensure they don't cover up any important markings or features of your pet.
Always try and get down to your pets level when taking a photo, so you aren't looking down on them too much as this will make them look distorted.
If you are able to take some photos specifically for me to draw try to get a good close up of your pet.
If you would like two or more animals in one portrait it is best to photograph them separately, as it is very hard to get them all facing the same way. However, it helps to see at least one photograph of them all together (it doesn't have to be a good one) so that Katie can see how they compare in size to each other. If this isn't possible (if they have passed away) a brief description will be useful eg: which pet was the tallest, largest head etc.
If you aren't sure if your photos are suitable for a portrait or if your pet has sadly passed away and you don't have many good photos, then please feel free to send them anyway. Katie will take a look (all will be well cared for and returned)
